Story of an office renovation successes

A renovation project for a business space or for one single room can easily create a bigger plan, especially if the use of the space cannot be paused before or during the renovation. In an active work community, this might be exactly the scenario that causes gray hairs in the middle of a renovation announcement with subcontractors and in the work community.

The project in question was the partial renovation of all the rooms of the entire office used by a medium-sized work community while it’s in active use and has meeting room reservations during the renovation period. The plan was to replace the floor panels in the entire office and rooms, to replace the intermediate doors between the personal office spaces the corridor, and to add comfort to the interior of the break room and the rest of the office with seating furniture, table tops, and kitchen counters.

James the floor professional, Mike with his intermediate door installer team, and Lisa with her team for the interior and furniture installation, sat down on how to coordinate the matter in work order to make the work progress smoothly without causing extra congestion for the employees working in the office premises, it seemed that the premises were in high demand at the planned renovation time. What a timing one would say.

For each and every contractor was created their own design workspace in Zeitmaps to serve as the basis for planning their own working hours. All possible future work plans of contractor would be added for all to see, each for their own the tab, which act as a path for the smooth completion of the joint project.

The different contractors of the project joined a weekly schedule went-through and marked their corrections in the schedules on the Zeitmaps for visibility for everyone. In the end, the renovation was successful in the agreed schedule, in which the customer cannot more than satisfied with the end result. No gray hairs, just a common work arrangement in a good spirit of joint project.
